Wabe Children’s Aid and Training (WCAT) is a charity in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, supported by the Dutch children’s organization Kinderpostzegels. WCAT works to alleviate the socioeconomic and environmental problems of vulnerable children, youth, women and other community members and to transform their lives by empowering them to become productive and responsible citizens free from poverty and disease. These stories from WCAT illustrate how supporting vulnerable women’s income-generating activities can directly benefit children and keep them in school and away from child labour.
