20 years Stop Child Labour: Mali

The Work: No Child’s Business (WNCB) programme contributes to global efforts to end all forms of child labour and to ensure that children and youth enjoy their right to quality education and to (future) decent work (1). Save the Children Netherlands, UNICEF Netherlands and the Stop Child Labour coalition lead the WNCB alliance. The two stories below, both from Ségou region in central Mali provided by the NGO ENDA Mali, illustrate WNCB’s work, including its support for women’s income-generating activities, and take place in child labour free zones (thereby also illustrating the work of Stop Child Labour).

  1. The programme is called Le Travail: Pas l’Affaire des Enfants (TPAE) in French-speaking countries such as Mali.
