A study on best practices to combat child labour

On the occasion of the World Day Against Child Labour, Education International has released the report of a study on best practices identified in projects to combat child labour implemented by teachers’ unions. While the number of child labourers is expected to rise dramatically as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, this study conducted by AOb and EI shows that the lessons learned from the projects can be extended to many countries.

The study focuses in particular on best practices leading to a school environment conducive to learning and better professional development of teachers, which are prerequisites for keeping children in school.
