Uganda’s teachers are crucial agents of positive change

Stop Child Labour is witnessing great results in our remote project area in Nebbi district, Uganda, where we are working together with local partners towards creating a child labour free zone. Teachers are playing a crucial role in realizing positive change for (former) working children and their families. The sensitisation programme of the Uganda National Teachers’ Union has borne impressive fruits against child labour, leading to a substantial increase in the enrolment and retention of students, girls and boys alike.
